Freight Booking & Labelling: Important Process Update

To help keep freight moving smoothly and ensure everything arrives where it needs to, we’d like to remind customers of the correct freight booking and labelling process when sending goods with SeaLink Logistics.

1. Book Your Freight

When booking freight with our team, please provide the following details:

  • Name and contact phone number for both pickup and delivery
  • Product description
  • Weight and cube (including length, where possible)
  • Total number of items
  • Date and time the freight will be ready for pickup and/or delivery

Providing accurate information helps us plan loads and move freight efficiently across the network.

2. Booking Confirmation

Once your booking has been received, our team will email you a SeaLink consignment note (Connote) confirming all the details you provided.

We’ll also include the corresponding barcode labels for your freight.

Please take a moment to check the details carefully and confirm everything is correct.

3. Label Your Freight

Once your freight is packed and ready:

  • Attach the correct barcode label to each individual item
  • Ensure labels are clearly visible and securely attached

This ensures freight can be scanned, tracked and handled correctly throughout the journey.

Important: Freight Collection Requirements

Starting Monday 30 March, our drivers and depot teams will not be able to collect or receive freight that does not have the correct barcode labels attached.

This change will help prevent delays and ensure freight moves through our system as quickly as possible.

If you have any questions about booking freight or labelling your items, our team is happy to help. Email us at logistics@sealink.co.nz , or give us a call on 09 300 5900
