Looking after our communities and the Hauraki Gulf

SeaLink is a proud and proactive participant in our Hauraki Gulf communities and supports the sustainable growth and ambitions of the people on Waiheke Island and Great Barrier Island. We contribute to various events and initiatives on both Islands through the donation of ferry travel vouchers, as well as discounted travel.

Among our most well known sponsorships are the Jassy Dean Trust, Windy Hill Sanctuary on Great Barrier Island as well as the Waiheke learner license drivers scheme.

We offer all sports teams on Waiheke Island and their supporters discounted travel as well as the teams heading to the island to compete.

Prior to making a submission, please read our Sponsorship Policy to ensure your organisation or event is eligible. All submissions must be completed using the online form.

Please note, sponsorship is offered as in-kind travel using SeaLink services and blackout dates may apply. We are unable to approve sponsorship travel in our high season months of December and January.

Health, safety and wellbeing

We support organisations that provide health and wellbeing services and that promote safe behaviour across Auckland's Hauraki Gulf. For example Coastguard, Waiheke Health Trust, Jassy Dean Trust and the New Zealand Blood Service. Often, there are extra costs involved when these organisations provide their services to communities on Waiheke and Great Barrier Islands. We are proud to be able to help these important services get to the islands so the communities of the Hauraki Gulf can access them.

Protecting our Environment

We are always thinking about long-term, positive differences to what we do and how we operate – but also for the greater good of the communities we serve and the environments we work in.

Caring is in our nature. And that extends to some of the groups we sponsor like Windy Hill Sanctuary and Glenfern Sanctuary on Great Barrier Island. We are proud to support the amazing work they do ensuring the delicate ecosystem on Aotea thrives.

We also work with Waiheke Marine Project who aim to protect and regenerate Waiheke Island’s marine environment through the use of action-based kaitiakitanga - guardianship.
